Sunstrider 990 is a very high performance RIB designed by Akesdesign for the shipyard Sino Ribs (Qingdao Sainuo Boat co.,Ltd). The hull is made of aluminum, double stepped with very high deadrise, optimized for speeds above 60 knots. The structure is designed to withstand the stresses of racing use, even the aerodynamic part has been carefully studied to offer minimum aerodynamic resistance: Sunstrider 990 is perfect for running in the waves in maximum safety.
The deck layout includes two generous bathing platforms at the stern, then easy access to the aft sundeck, which hides a large locker; inside the cockpit there is a transverse sofa and opposite seat, with the possibility of a central table; the guide helm structure, which contains the refrigerator, is equipped with containment anti-shock seats for quick driving in rough seas. Side passages lead to the bow deck equipped with a sundeck; inside the console there is a well sized toilet room and under the bow deck there is a double bed. The minimum engine is 2x225 hp, with which you can still touch the 50 knots; with 2x300 you touch the 60 knots and the maximum power (2x450R) brings Sunstrider to speeds above 70 knots.
